The easiest way to reach Meghalaya is by air. Shillong has a small airport at Umroi (30 km away) with limited domestic flights from Kolkata. From Guwahati, it’s a 3–4 hour scenic drive to Shillong. Taxis, shared cabs, and buses are readily available outside the airport.
